Every summer, millions of people of go on vacations around the world to vacate from their home to go spend a while in some other place until they come home and go on with there boring lives. But with gas prices shooting up, the travel percentage is going way down. So to make your vacation fun and affordable go on a Stay-cation! My family is not very wealthy and with a sister going to collage we have to save. So we decided on a stay-cation!!! Here are some ideas to do on your fabulous stay-cation.

• Camp out at Fay Bainbridge. It’s pretty close to most people so you can drive home if you need to grab something extra. The beach there is amazing, now the drift wood is mostly gone because it was toxic.
• Another thing to do on your Stay-cation is to go to Battle Point park, there are paths to ride bicycles, scooters, and skateboards on. There is a duck pond. Quack! If you have younger siblings, there is a Playground and in the summer a fountain type thing that squirts water.
• Have a picnic. Either at the beach or at a park. Maybe even in your backyard.
• The Seattle center is really fun. If you haven’t seen the Space Needle or gone to the Pacific Science Center there it is really fun.
• The Seattle Aquarium has a new Octopus. With touch tanks and other sea creatures there it’s a great place to view sea life.
• In Silverdale there is a sport plex there called The Zone. It has indoor fields, outdoor fields, and any sport you can imagine, there are also video games.
• Kayaking around the island. Fresh air ahhh, relaxing.

• Go fishing! Trout, Salmon, Sunny’s!
