Updated Softball News

When I first started this blog, I forgot to write about my first games in the beginning of my season. In the beginning of the season, we lost our first and third game. But we won our second and fourth. I also forgot to write about our North Kitsap games we won two and lost our second to last one. I am now in the playoffs and we have won every game except our last one. Tonight at 6:00pm at Strawberry field, field 2, my team the Ice is playing the Storm…..I think.

The Racers Were Crushed Twice! Part Two

The second game against the Racers the next day wasn’t as good but we still crushed them. I again got a double and a couple singles and one pretty amazing bunt. Just for any of you non-softball people a bunt is when instead of swinging you hold your bat out in front of yourself. And you knock the ball down in front of the batters box. I just so happen to be one of the best bunters in the league. The second game started off as us hitting the ball to the grass, I believe that our cheers helped. By the third inning, we were ahead, 11 to 6. After holding them to scoring one point, we were up and scored 6 more points within the next 3 innings. At the end of the game we won 17 to 7.

The Racers were crushed twice!

I think that last Friday and Saturday were our best games played! On last Friday my team The Ice played The Racers. Now this was our first game against them so we had no idea if we were gonna beat them or lose, so with no high expctations we won. I am not the best batter in the batters box, but on the pitching machine I am amazing, straight to the outfield, and during that game my bat was on fire, hit after hit, after hit! Everybody was bat to the ball. A lot of people got singles and then stole to second within that hit, because they over threw. Kyra and Caitlin, I believe that they are our top two hitter both got singles and doubles. So did I, I don’t know what came over us but we cremed ‘em 17 to 3, the game ended early because we 12 runned them when we were 15, them 3. Wahoo! Go Ice!

Carolyn Droke

Since none of you know Carolyn Droke, I will explain who she is and what happened to her. On Thursday of last week, my softball team was playing a NK team (North Kitsap). Now we were in the lead, 9 to 6. We were on a roll, hits, hits, hits! But unfortunately, Carolyn was on 3rd base and was ready to steal home. The batter up was the other Carolyn (she might spell it differently) and a wild pitch came her way and sped behind her. Carolyn D. she prefers to be called C for some reason of the unknown. She started running towards home plate and as the catcher threw the ball to the pitcher at home, Carolyn D. (C) was sliding and was called safe, a second after Carolyn screamed with pain,

Softball

ICE ICE BABY!!!! My softball team’s name is Ice. Our season just started and We have had two games so far. My first game was on last Wednesday. It was cold, very cold, so one of the moms came over to the dugout and gave us all hand warmers! Anyway that day we played against another team called the Storm. Now we have a lot of new players on our team so they are still getting used to playing in Majors. Our first game started out pretty well until one of our pitchers started walking more people, than striking them out. We were home team so we were out in the field first. I was playing center field and surprisingly enough, there wasn’t much action.

Spring Break is supposed to be a break from school, homework, and the obnoxious voices around you. Usually people will go on Ski trips, vacations, or super-space balls-slumber-party- spectacular! That was my plan but it never happened. I did relax and “rewind” but I never got to do what I really wanted to. I wanted to read for like 5 hours of my Charlie Bone book, but that never happened. So I got frustrated. Basically I can’t stick with weekend plans. I’ll start with Friday, that last day of school. I got home, and lounged around, watching movies, and hung out with one friend Sunday-Friday. Basically the same thing happened everyday, but not much more happened.
